Mercedes STAR Diagnostics is a set of tools, that are used to completely read out Mercedes, Smart and other Mercedes brands. It is like VAG group VAG-COM for Mercedes.

There's a party that can upgrade Chinese-made SD Connect C4 clones to a fully working state, including all cables and software, called [Star Diag]. As long as you chose the R170 car base in the software, you should be able to read out the whole car, except for the TPMS, because those are from Chrysler, not Mercedes.
