Security Module
Revision as of 21:35, 2 February 2020 by Erwin (talk | contribs) (Erwin moved page SKREEM to Security Module without leaving a redirect)
The SKREEM (Sentry Key Remote Entry Module) is the immobilizer module used in Mercedes cars. It authenticates keys using two-way communication and rolling codes.
Known issues
Effects happening when the SKREEM module is bad:
- Alarm randomly triggers, with or without sound
- Car shutting off (?)
- Keys not being recognized anymore.
- Car not starting
Coupe model
The Coupe model can have issues with the back window not closing well, due to the SRT-6 wing not mounted with sealant (?). This then causes the floor of the trunk to flood, and thats exactly where the SKREEM is located.
